Construction: Steps 1-4

Measuring and cutting the projector enclosure

Step 1: Measuring Your Screen

Begin by measuring the precise height and width of your television or monitor screen. Be sure to measure only the viewable screen area, excluding the frame (bezel).

Step 2: Marking and Cutting

On your cardboard, wood, or fiberboard, mark out four panels based on your measurements. You will need two panels for the width and two for the height. For all four panels, set the depth to 18 inches.

Step 3: Visualizing the Enclosure

You now have four individual pieces that will form the top, bottom, and side panels of your projector cube. Once assembled, they will create the main housing for the projection system.

Step 4: Preparation

Layout your four panels. Ensure all edges are straight and the measurements are consistent. Do not glue or tape them together just yet—we have a few more steps to prepare the interior.
